Talking Story

We make a home in the re-telling

We make ourselves a home

and project it with our senses

and protect it with our defenses.

Accidental or intentional,

the road takes us where we let it.


* Talk Story, known in Hawaii as mo’olelo, is the tradition of sharing stories to preserve them for future generations.  Alternatively, it is a Hawaiian expression, used as a noun or verb, meaning “an informal chat” or “to chat informally.”
